What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and serve refreshments and meals to academy personnel.
  • Render food service support functions, ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and dining areas.
  • Ensure the dining halls are well-prepared and presentable for use.
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene protocols in the food service environment.

What You’ll Need

  • Competency in the core functions of the Food Service Aid role.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official South African language.
  • South African citizenship with valid documentary proof.
  • An ABET Level 4/Grade 9/Standard 7 certificate or equivalent (NQF level 1 as recognized by SAQA).
  • Basic understanding of cleaning detergents and occupational health and safety protocols.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills; ability to read and write.
  • Capability to interact professionally with other officials.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
