The South African Navy is seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Food Service Aid based in Simon’s Town at the SA Naval College in Gordon’s Bay. What You’ll Do
- Clean and scrub the galley and dining hall areas to maintain hygiene standards
- Clear tables and wash cutlery, pots, and other kitchen equipment
- Assist with unloading and packing away food supplies
- Set up and clear tables as needed during meal times
- Help with basic food and beverage preparations
- Support all other galley-related functions as directed by the Warrant Officer or Chief in Charge
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of an ABET qualification
- Effective verbal communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is advantageous
- Ability to apply hygiene measures
- Familiarity with basic maintenance of kitchen machinery
