About the Role
The Department of Finance is looking for a dedicated Financial Clerk Supervisor to join its team in Wynberg, South Africa. What You’ll Do
- Process claims and standing advances accurately and timely.
- Ensure that all claim forms are completed correctly before submission.
- Monitor financial payments and oversee administrative processes within POLFIN.
- Administer overtime remuneration and allowances for staff.
- Control and monitor phone accounts and associated payments.
- Manage cash received, ensuring proper issuance of receipts and deposits at financial institutions.
- Administer payments to suppliers and oversee the management of state money.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
- At least four years of experience in a financial role.
- A three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) will be advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license for a light motor vehicle is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of prescripts applicable to the Public Service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in general computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Office).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and professionally with accountability.
