What You’ll Do
- Compile, check, and capture payroll allowances on PERSAL, including subsistence and travel claims, overtime, and payroll deduction transactions.
- Liaise with third parties regarding court maintenance orders and ensure proper submission and implementation.
- Distribute pay slips and supplementary pay slips to officials, and submit signed pay point certificates to head office.
- Address payroll inquiries and maintain accurate records of vendor invoices.
- Compile source documents and capture invoices for vendor payments on SAP, ensuring creditors are paid within 30 days.
- Perform creditors reconciliation and compile payables and accruals reports.
- Handle cashier functions, ensuring the safekeeping of cash and processing petty cash transactions as needed.
- Order and distribute stationery, file documents systematically, and assist with audit samples to ensure compliance.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior/Grade 12 certificate with accounting as a passed subject.
- Basic knowledge of financial functions and practices, including data capture and use of spreadsheets.
- Understanding of Public Service Financial legislation, procedures, and treasury regulations (PFMA, DORA, PSA, PISR, PPPFA).
- Familiarity with financial operating systems such as PERSAL and SAP.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to accountability, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
