What You’ll Do
- Implement environmental empowerment programmes to promote sustainability in local schools and educational institutions.
- Identify and execute capacity-building initiatives that engage the public and relevant stakeholders in environmental issues.
- Develop and manage environmental awareness programmes that encourage community participation in conservation efforts.
- Perform various administrative functions related to environmental projects and programmes.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate coupled with a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, or a related field.
- No prior experience is required, but 1-2 years of relevant experience will be considered an advantage.
- A solid understanding of Community-based Natural Resource Management and Biological Diversity Management.
- Proficiency in computer skills and good writing and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with applicable environmental legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act and the NEM Protected Areas Act.
- A valid driver’s licence is essential.
