What You’ll Do
- Manage and update the database for the equitable share formula, ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Assist with the refinement of the fiscal framework equitable share model through comprehensive analysis.
- Develop analytical reports that support the equitable share model and forecast various financial scenarios.
- Contribute to technical analyses that assist in decisions related to provincial equitable shares.
- Provide inputs for the development of impactful reports on the provincial fiscal framework.
- Help compile information for the annual Intergovernmental Fiscal Review (IGFR).
- Assist in preparing data for reports to the Technical Committee on Finance (TCF) and Budget Council Meetings.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a National Diploma (equivalent to NQF level 6) in Economics, Public Finance Management, or Public Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in Public Financial Management within South Africa.
- Solid understanding of public finance legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of public sector budgeting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for database management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
