What You’ll Do

  • Operate light and medium motor vehicles for the transportation of passengers and delivery of mail and documents.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the assigned vehicle, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
  • Report any defects or issues with the vehicle promptly to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Complete all required records and log books regarding the vehicle and goods handled, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to all prescribed procedures for vehicle operation, including obtaining trip authorities and managing consumables.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum qualification of Grade 10 or NQF Level 04 as recognized by SAQA.
  • A valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Between 7 to 12 months of driving experience.
  • Good understanding of vehicle operation procedures and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and a high standard of workmanship.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit flexibility in duties.
