What You’ll Do
- Implement and support IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and firewalls.
- Ensure the deployment and maintenance of IT assets and hardware across local offices.
- Provide technical support for desktop, printer, and peripheral devices.
- Manage the enrollment of officials on the BACM system and distribute smart cards.
- Facilitate the disposal of obsolete IT assets, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate IT requirements across various offices, ensuring adequate resources are available.
- Identify and troubleshoot any IT-related disruptions affecting business operations.
- Coach and guide staff on IT best practices and compliance with relevant regulations.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields at an NQF level 6.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment.
- Proven ability in desktop, network, server, and application support.
- Knowledge of GITO guidelines, Minimum Information Security Standards, and public service regulations.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to work extended hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client service and problem-solving.
