About the Opportunity:
The Dispensary Support Learnership is designed for aspiring candidates ready to embark on the Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant course. Participants will initially hold fixed-term positions, progressing to registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as learner basic pharmacist assistants. Successful completion may lead to permanent employment as Basic Pharmacist Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:
Learners will engage in a variety of tasks including selling Schedule 1 medicines, assisting in the preparation of non-sterile medicines, managing dispensary stock, and providing essential health-related information. Additional duties involve prescription interpretation, medication labelling, and stock control.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Grade 12 certificate with Pure Mathematics and either Physical or Life Science, maintaining a minimum average of 50%. Competencies include proficiency in English and a second language, strong time-management and customer-service skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
