What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the implementation of diversity programs and strategies within the Department.
- Monitor and evaluate strategies to advance equity and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide strategic direction on national and international policies related to transformation and gender.
- Oversee the implementation of the Employment Equity Act and related policies to promote gender, youth, and disability equity.
- Develop and review the Employment Equity Policy and Plan to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Drive awareness programs that promote diversity and protect the rights of all employees.
- Represent the Department in intergovernmental structures focused on transformation and gender issues.
- Manage resources effectively within the Chief Directorate, ensuring operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Coach and mentor staff on compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Management Science, Human Resources Management, or a related field at NQF level 7, recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a Middle/Senior Management role within a Transformation and Gender environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the Constitution of South Africa and relevant public service legislative frameworks.
- Strong understanding of policies impacting disabled individuals and gender equality.
- Excellent project management skills and proficiency in using online systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required by the role.
- Completion of the Senior Management Services Pre-entry Certificate upon appointment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
