What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Directorate.
- Establish and monitor the implementation of strategic and business plans.
- Oversee the development of operational plans for various business components.
- Manage the integration of tourism with related sectors, identifying opportunities for collaboration.
- Facilitate consultations with stakeholders to align policies and strategies.
- Coordinate joint planning and implementation of tourism initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the performance of integrated projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain databases for consultation efforts within the tourism sector.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum SAQA recognized qualification at NQF level 7 in Tourism Management or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Middle/Senior Management position in a relevant field.
- Comprehensive understanding of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with high-level stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of tourism trends and the National Development Plan (NDP).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic capacity and leadership skills to guide teams and initiatives.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
