What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage implementation strategies for departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Facilitate and coordinate both operational and strategic planning processes.
  • Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure effective performance management.
  • Formulate and manage the budget for the component in line with strategic objectives.
  • Empower and manage personnel within the Directorate, guiding them on government policies.
  • Commission and oversee research and evaluation studies to inform departmental strategies.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to foster collaboration and communication.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • A relevant qualification (NQF level 7) in Public Management, Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, or an equivalent recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience at middle or senior management level in Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of strategic management, public policies, and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present effectively.
  • Proven financial management capabilities and accountability.
  • High level of computer literacy and problem-solving skills.
