About the Role
The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director: Provincial Operations Support to join their team in East London, Eastern Cape. What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the integration of planning, resource allocation, and performance management within the Provincial Office.
- Monitor compliance with planning frameworks and ensure alignment with departmental objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of corporate performance monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Provide support in community participation and operational planning.
- Conduct research and evaluations to inform decision-making and enhance performance.
- Prepare and present performance reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
- Establish and maintain networks to share best practices and lessons learned.
- Support the Chief Director in the coordination of strategic corporate projects.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (NQF Level 7).
- A minimum of 5 years experience at middle or senior managerial level in operations support.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and performance management systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in project management and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and willingness to travel.
