What You’ll Do

  • Develop, review, and manage policies and programs related to land development and post-settlement support.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address policy matters and facilitate necessary reviews.
  • Conduct training and capacity-building sessions for stakeholders and officials.
  • Oversee the establishment and management of partnerships between producers and development partners.
  • Facilitate farm assessments, feasibility studies, and project approvals.
  • Manage human and financial resources in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and operational procedures throughout project implementation.
  • Report on the progress and outcomes of ongoing projects under your management.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agri-Business, Agricultural Management, or a related qualification (NQF Level 7).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in middle/senior managerial roles within the agricultural development sector.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • In-depth knowledge of policy development, monitoring, and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder mobilization skills.
  • Understanding of government development policies, including the National Development Plan.
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel.
