What You’ll Do

  • Manage and coordinate various clinical streams and disciplines.
  • Develop policy documents, including guidelines and standards for forensic pathology.
  • Oversee and monitor forensic pathology services within hospitals.
  • Coordinate clinical forensic pathology services and address issues related to gender-based violence.
  • Provide secretariat support for ministerial committees and technical working groups.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital licensing regulations and develop relevant policies.
  • Liaise with authorities regarding referral pathways in forensic pathology.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate and an NQF 7 qualification in Health Science (MBCHB or nursing preferred).
  • An NQF 8 qualification in Health Science, such as MPH or Forensic Pathology, is advantageous.
  • At least five years of experience at a middle or senior management level in health management and forensic services.
  • Knowledge of the South African Constitution and public service regulations.
  • Experience in clinical forensic and/or forensic pathology services.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and SMS pre-entry Certificate are required for final appointment.
