What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership in promoting employment relations in line with the Public Service Act.
- Manage and oversee the finalization of grievances and complaints within the department.
- Handle misconduct cases and ensure timely resolutions.
- Represent the department in disputes referred to various labour forums, including PSCBC, CCMA, and GPSSBC.
- Facilitate a constructive bargaining environment through the Departmental Bargaining Chamber (DBC).
What You’ll Need
- A qualification at NQF level 7 in Human Resources Management, Employment Relations, Labour Relations, Labour Law, Public Administration, or LLB.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Five years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role in Employment Relations or Labour Relations.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant labour legislation and policies.
- Strong skills in strategic leadership, people management, and project management.
