What You’ll Do

• Manage and oversee registry services, ensuring smooth operations within the department.
• Examine and approve cadastral documents submitted by Professional Land Surveyors.
• Maintain the cadastral correspondence filing system and oversee document archiving.
• Provide professional advice on land reform projects and state surveys.
• Ensure compliance with relevant land administration legislation and policies.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, including government officials and the public, on land-related matters.
• Conduct field surveys to resolve boundary disputes and verify survey accuracy.
• Generate reports on land reform support and findings as required.

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 12 certificate and a four-year B or BSc Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or equivalent.
• Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor with the South African Geomatics Council.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Land Surveying environment at a middle/senior managerial level.
• A valid driver’s license.
• In-depth knowledge of land administration legislation, public service regulations, and cadastral systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and time effectively.
