What You’ll Do
- Support the re-engineering of Primary Health Care to enhance access to quality services
- Implement assessments and ensure compliance with ideal clinic standards
- Monitor the performance of key health programs in line with strategic targets
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery
- Conduct quality improvement audits and surveys, reporting findings to senior management
- Evaluate health care delivery within facilities to ensure excellence in service
- Provide expert advice on quality care across the district
- Prepare monthly reports for supervisors and senior management
- Regularly monitor clinical and non-clinical processes to ensure compliance
- Represent the district at provincial forums regarding quality, finance, and priority programs
What You’ll Need
- A Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualifications enabling registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Current registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Valid driver’s license and computer literacy
- Extensive experience in Primary Health Care practices
- Strong understanding of nursing care processes, relevant legal frameworks, and public service regulations
- Excellent leadership and financial management skills

Requirements
Basic R25 qualifications i.e Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualifications that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
Current registration with South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse.
Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in general nursing.
At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience at management level.
Valid driver’s license.
Computer literacy.
Extensive experience in Primary Health Care.
Skills And Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, and other relevant legal frame works such as: Nursing Act, Health Act.
Occupational Health and Safety Act, Patient Rights Charter, Batho Pele Principles, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Disciplinary Code and procedure, Grievance Procedure, etc.
Strong leadership skills, Financial Management skills.
Job Duties
Support re-engineering of Primary Health Care to promote access to quality health care service.Implement the assessments, compliance and attainment of ideal clinic status for all facilities in the Local Areas.
Monitor performance of key priority programs according to APP and AOP targets.
Management of key priority programs.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good quality of care across all disciplines.
Perform quality improvements audits and surveys and report Senior Management and multidisciplinary health team.
To monitor and evaluate delivery of quality of health care within the Facilities.
Provide advice on various aspects of quality care within the entire district.
Provide monthly reports to supervisors and Senior Management.
Monitor clinical and non-clinical on regular basis to ensure compliance to processes.
Represent the entire district at the Provincial Quality, Finance and key priority program forums.
