The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking a Deputy Director: Systems Administration based in Pretoria, Gauteng. What You’ll Do
- Manage the integrity of accounting data and maintain audited records.
- Oversee data protection and manage potential data corruption issues.
- Monitor server space and coordinate with IT on technical issues.
- Act as custodian of the financial systems related to the Deeds Registration Trading Entity.
- Conduct reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger.
- Assist with monthly, year-end procedures, including stock takes and asset counts.
- Ensure integration between financial systems and other relevant modules.
- Provide training and support for new systems and procedures.
- Coordinate user access and maintain workflow roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain Financial Systems Policy and user manuals.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Information Systems or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant management experience in a financial environment.
- Knowledge of accrual-based accounting systems and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management principles and tools.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
