What You’ll Do

  • Manage research and strategic planning efforts for the department.
  • Oversee the policy panel process and represent the strategy function.
  • Facilitate integrated strategic planning sessions and compile departmental targets.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of provincial and national policies to inform strategic responses.
  • Develop and maintain strategic planning frameworks and operational plans.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Coordinate the development of strategic policy frameworks and evaluations.
  • Manage human and financial resources within the directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 plus a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Public Management & Governance or Public Administration.
  • 3 to 5 years of middle management experience in strategy and governance.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing, analytical skills, and project management.
  • Ability to manage people effectively and lead teams.
  • Innovative, client-oriented, and able to work flexibly within a team.
