What You’ll Do
- Manage a designated portfolio of cases, providing guidance and oversight to advocates and prosecutors.
- Investigate and prosecute a range of cases, including complex and high-profile matters.
- Prepare legal documents, including charge sheets and indictments, and represent the state in court proceedings.
- Provide strategic direction for the division, aligning resources with objectives for effective case management.
- Conduct training and development for staff members, promoting professional growth and performance management.
- Engage with various stakeholders in the criminal justice system to enhance community involvement and integration.
What You’ll Need
- An LLB degree or an appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors.
- A minimum of ten years’ post-qualification experience in civil and/or criminal litigation.
- Strong knowledge of civil and criminal procedure, with the ability to act independently and professionally.
- Excellent advocacy and legal drafting skills, along with good interpersonal and analytical abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and proficiency in computer skills.
