What You’ll Do
- Manage the governance of ICT within the department, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Oversee information security measures, implementing tools and techniques to protect departmental data.
- Develop and manage ICT risk management processes, including audits and performance evaluations of internal and external auditors.
- Coordinate IT steering committee meetings and facilitate alignment of ICT objectives with departmental goals.
- Monitor and manage service level agreements (SLAs) with business units to enhance service delivery.
- Drive ICT business improvement initiatives and manage change through effective project management methodologies.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and conduct research to inform ICT governance practices.
- Manage departmental resources, including human, financial, and equipment/asset management.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in ICT, Computer Science, Informatics, Business Information Technology, or Information Technology.
- 3-5 years of experience in ICT governance, preferably at the Assistant Director level.
- Knowledge of GPG and DPDRT policies, relevant legislation, and Public Service Regulations.
- Strong understanding of government ICT procurement processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
