What You’ll Do
- Manage the application and implementation of service benefits, including GEPF, GEHS, and PILIR.
- Oversee employee service terminations, ensuring accurate processes for retirements and resignations.
- Implement and audit leave policies on the PERSAL system, providing guidance on leave management.
- Conduct exit interviews and manage recruitment processes to maintain departmental compliance.
- Monitor departmental vacancy rates and ensure proper administration of appointments and promotions.
- Maintain accurate human resource records and filing systems, supporting audit processes.
- Provide operational leadership in coordinating human resource activities within the HRA & P unit.
- Contribute to budget monitoring and the preparation of strategic and operational plans.
- Facilitate governance structures and provide human resource information for reporting purposes.
What You’ll Need
- A tertiary NQF level 7 Degree in Human Resource Management.
- A minimum of 3-4 years’ relevant experience at Assistant Director level in a Human Resource Management environment.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resource Management, including legislation and policies.
- Proficient in the PERSAL System (PERSAL controller experience is an advantage).
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and policy development abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
