What You’ll Do

  • Manage the provision of developmental and statutory social services across regional offices.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of sustainable social development programs.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders and role-players to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies in program funding and implementation.
  • Lead the collation and analysis of data for reporting purposes on social development interventions.
  • Direct resource management to align with strategic and annual performance plans of the department.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification and a postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8) in Social Work or Community Development.
  • A minimum of 8 years of managerial experience in a social welfare services environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership in social welfare and community development initiatives.
  • Code B driver’s license and a Nyukela SMS Certificate for entry into Senior Management Service.
  • Strong knowledge of public management frameworks, public policy development, and financial management practices.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and advanced program management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of social welfare models and community development practices.
