What You’ll Do

• Lead the development and implementation of a research strategy focused on the transformation and rights of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities.
• Establish and manage a centralized evidence-based knowledge hub to address transformation issues affecting these groups.
• Coordinate international relations and stakeholder participation to enhance the rights and empowerment of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities.
• Oversee capacity-building initiatives aimed at mainstreaming these groups’ needs into government policies and programs.
• Ensure effective government-wide monitoring and evaluation of policy priorities related to the empowerment of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities.
• Manage the budget and resources of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Coordination branch efficiently and effectively.

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 12 certificate and a relevant postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8) recognized by SAQA in Social Science, Development Studies, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior managerial role, particularly within the context of gender, youth, and disability activism.
• Proven experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing legislation and policies related to socio-economic transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills at both executive and community levels.
• In-depth knowledge of the legislative framework regarding gender, youth, and disability empowerment.
• Completion of the National School of Government’s SMS Pre-Entry Programme is required prior to appointment.
