What You’ll Do

  • Compile and prepare Interim and Annual Financial Statements.
  • Ensure all relevant transactions are processed within specified periods.
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts and address exceptions.
  • Prepare amortization calculations for new finance leases.
  • Process journals related to finance leases and manage month-end reporting.
  • Assist in preparing documents for audit requests and queries.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients and departmental stakeholders.
  • Manage the section in accordance with corporate governance standards.
  • Conduct training and development for team members.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or a related field (NQF 6).
  • A minimum of 3 years of junior management experience in financial management or accounting.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of an accrual-based comprehensive accounting and financial system.
  • Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
