What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement effective media policies and strategies for stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate media coverage related to the GPAA, GEPF, and National Treasury.
  • Manage media liaison plans and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide strategic support for crisis communication and stakeholder relations.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a media database.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Manage media queries and develop timely responses to external communications.
  • Lead and mentor a team, ensuring performance aligns with organizational goals.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant three-year National Diploma/Degree in Communication, Journalism, or Media Relations (minimum of 360 credits).
  • At least six years of experience in stakeholder and media relations, with a minimum of three years in a management role.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and human resource management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and networks.
  • An outgoing personality with a customer-oriented approach.
