What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement demand management frameworks and strategies.
  • Consolidate procurement requirements from programs aligned with the department’s strategic plan.
  • Ensure timely submission of consolidated procurement plans for approval to Provincial Treasury.
  • Manage the implementation of the Central Supplier Database.
  • Facilitate bid specification committee meetings and review supply chain performance.
  • Monitor and analyze the implementation of SCM policies and National Treasury instruction notes.
  • Review and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Promote sound governance and compliance with supply chain management reporting requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ relevant experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Knowledge of the Supply Chain Framework and Preferential Procurement Policy Framework.
  • Strong leadership, negotiating, facilitation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
