What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to streamline procurement processes.
- Advise and approve sourcing strategies to ensure best practices are followed.
- Create and manage a price catalogue for benchmarking purposes.
- Monitor and approve the development of specifications and Terms of Reference (TOR).
- Maintain and administer a credible database for sourcing goods and services.
- Oversee the accreditation of service providers and manage supplier registration feedback.
- Recommend suppliers based on performance evaluations and ensure compliance with procurement requests.
- Analyze demand management templates for accurate costing and facilitate consultations for procurement plans.
- Approve quotes and evaluate bidding processes, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Advise on the implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) prescripts.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Financial Management, Logistics, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a junior management role within a supply chain management environment.
- A valid driver’s license and proficiency in Financial Accounting Systems, including Accpac.
- Knowledge of Treasury Regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and government decision-making processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, project management abilities, and resource planning skills.
- Proficient in computer literacy and effective time management.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
