What You’ll Do
- Oversee the court preparation programme conducted by Court Preparation Officers.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance skills and service delivery.
- Provide guidance on the methodologies and standards of court preparation work.
- Conduct court preparation and assist with victim impact statements in significant cases.
- Act as an expert witness when required.
- Lead the team towards achieving the strategic goals of the NPA.
- Handle representations and complaints effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Manage the implementation of the victim’s charter within the division.
- Foster community integration and stakeholder collaboration within the criminal justice system.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) or a three-year Diploma (NQF level 6) in Social Work or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of managerial experience in a relevant field.
- Strong administrative and people management skills.
- Demonstrable competency in professionalism, accountability, and credibility.
- Excellent planning, prioritizing, and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- A valid driver’s license.
