What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Director in strategic planning and the organization of computer audit activities.
  • Develop objectives for computer audits that effectively address risk management and governance concerns.
  • Design and review computer audit procedures to meet engagement objectives.
  • Ensure audit programs are submitted for approval before commencing assignments.
  • Plan and oversee computer audit projects, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • Analyze audit results and provide comprehensive conclusions based on thorough evaluations.
  • Offer technical and administrative support for various audits, including compliance and operational audits.
  • Present audit findings during exit conferences post-assignment completion.
  • Implement a Quality Assurance and Improvement program to align with IIA Standards and departmental policies.
  • Conduct regular audits on financial controls, compliance, and IT frameworks as required.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/National Diploma) in Auditing, Accounting, or Computer Science.
  • Certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Relevant experience in a Junior Management or Assistant Director role.
  • Professional registration with the Institute for Internal Auditors (IIA) or ISACA.
  • Valid driver’s license and proficiency in government IT governance frameworks.
  • Strong skills in programming languages for data analytics and proficient computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and project management abilities.
  • Effective report writing capabilities and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, with readiness for security clearance.
