What You’ll Do

  • Manage document workflows and ensure effective document control.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding referrals from the Director-General and Ministerial offices.
  • Coordinate responses to Parliamentary questions and ensure all documents are quality controlled.
  • Maintain an organized record of decisions and provide secretariat services for branch meetings, including minute-taking and action list development.
  • Oversee branch expenditure and assist in the finalization of departmental strategic plans and annual performance plans.
  • Facilitate compliance with performance management and ensure all performance agreements are signed and filed.
  • Support coordination for departmental meetings and respond effectively to requests received by the branch.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF6) in Public Management, Office Management, or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in administration or a relevant field, with at least 3 years in a junior managerial role.
  • Proficient command of written and oral English, along with knowledge of another official language.
  • Strong skills in strategic coordination, business planning, report writing, and policy development.
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
