What You’ll Do

• Coordinate sport-specific testing and facilitate physiotherapy services for athletes.
• Manage medical services and rehabilitation programs to ensure athletes are well-supported.
• Train elite coaches and provide them with access to the latest coaching trends and resources.
• Develop and implement life skills workshops, liaising with clubs and federations.
• Oversee talent identification processes, deploying scouts and monitoring selection criteria.
• Manage human and financial resources within the division, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Conduct budget planning and monitor expenditure to align with departmental goals.

What You’ll Need

• A three-year National Diploma (NQF level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the sports environment, with at least 3 years at an Assistant Director level.
• A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
• Strong knowledge of Public Service administration procedures and Batho Pele Principles.
• Excellent analytical, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer literacy, research, communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
