What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the planning and development of integrated climate change management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain climate change management policies, legislation, and regulations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of climate change management policies and regulations.
- Create and manage an integrated climate change information management system.
- Perform administrative functions related to climate change management and contribute to team efforts.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and a 4-year degree (NQF Level 8) in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, Climate Change, or Renewable Energy Studies.
- A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in the climate change sector or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act and Climate Change Act.
- Well-developed communication, planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure.
- Computer literacy and financial management knowledge are essential.
- Experience in integrating climate change considerations into municipal planning is an added advantage.
