What You’ll Do

• Coordinate the planning and development of integrated climate change management initiatives.
• Develop and maintain climate change management policies, legislation, and regulations.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of climate change management policies and regulations.
• Create and manage an integrated climate change information management system.
• Perform administrative functions related to climate change management and contribute to team efforts.

What You’ll Need

• A National Senior Certificate and a 4-year degree (NQF Level 8) in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, Climate Change, or Renewable Energy Studies.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in the climate change sector or a related field.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act and Climate Change Act.
• Well-developed communication, planning, and project management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure.
• Computer literacy and financial management knowledge are essential.
• Experience in integrating climate change considerations into municipal planning is an added advantage.
