What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage compliance monitoring and enforcement policies, strategies, and guidelines.
- Plan and coordinate compliance monitoring efforts to ensure adherence to environmental legislation.
- Manage compliance enforcement operations, promoting awareness and understanding of environmental laws.
- Perform administrative tasks related to compliance and environmental management.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders to encourage compliance and environmental responsibility.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and a 4-year degree or equivalent qualification in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, or related fields.
- A minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience in an environmental compliance role.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act and related frameworks.
- Excellent communication, planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
