What You’ll Do

  • Conduct community profiles and needs analyses to identify local requirements.
  • Engage in door-to-door outreach and community consultations to gather input.
  • Maintain accurate records of community visits and cases referred.
  • Collaborate with local structures to articulate community needs and advocate for vulnerable groups.
  • Assist government departments in planning initiatives based on community feedback.
  • Promote awareness of government services and facilitate information dissemination.
  • Mobilize communities into focus groups to enhance participation in development projects.
  • Monitor and report on community trends and project impacts.
  • Facilitate project initiation and development within the community.
  • Compile reports on progress, issues, and outcomes related to community outreach efforts.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate and a Higher Certificate/Diploma NQF Level 5.
  • An in-depth understanding of Community Development work.
  • Registration on a part-time Community Development Learnership Programme with a recognized institution is required.
  • Strong research, communication, networking, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and policies.
  • Problem-solving abilities and project organization skills.
  • Knowledge of the dynamics, culture, and language of the target community, with residency in the locality of the vacancy.
