What You’ll Do

  • Write, edit, and proofread content for various internal communications.
  • Develop and manage newsletters to keep employees informed.
  • Oversee the management of the department’s website and intranet.
  • Assist in the effective management of communication-related resources.
  • Coordinate and monitor website, intranet, and social media content for updates.
  • Facilitate prompt responses to external client queries submitted via the department’s website.
  • Provide administrative support to the Directorate as needed.
  • Distribute print materials to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compile and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure service level agreements are upheld.

What You’ll Need

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in content development for print and electronic mediums.
  • Familiarity with GPG and GPDRT policies and procedures, relevant legislation, and Public Service Regulations.
  • Understanding of customer expectations and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Strong knowledge of management information related to GPG political and executive structures.
  • Skills in change management, planning, organizing, and project management.
  • People-oriented approach with a commitment to financial management.
