What You’ll Do

• Maintain cleanliness in and around the assigned SAPS premises, including both interior and exterior areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing furniture, and mopping floors.
• Vacuum carpets and remove refuse to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Clean bathrooms and kitchens, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
• Handle various cleaning aids and products safely and effectively.
• Assist with the washing and cleaning of state vehicles and kitchenware.
• Support garden maintenance services as required.
• Load and unload goods as necessary.

What You’ll Need

• Competency in the core functions of the Cleaner position.
• Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
• Citizenship of the Republic of South Africa (documentary proof required).
• ABET Level 4/ Grade 9/ Standard 7 certificate or equivalent (documentary proof required).
• Basic knowledge of cleaning detergents and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with other officials.
• Capability to operate elementary cleaning machines and equipment.
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
