What You’ll Do

  • Maintain cleanliness in and around designated SAPS premises, ensuring high hygiene standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing furniture, and mopping floors.
  • Vacuum carpets and remove refuse from the premises.
  • Clean bathrooms and kitchens, ensuring they are sanitary and well-maintained.
  • Safeguard and handle cleaning supplies and equipment responsibly.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of goods as necessary.
  • Provide garden maintenance services and wash state vehicles when required.

What You’ll Need

  • Competency in the core functions of the Cleaner position.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
  • South African citizenship with the ability to provide documentary proof.
  • An ABET Level 4/Grade 9/Standard 7 certificate (NQF level 1).
  • Understanding of cleaning detergents and health and safety protocols.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and the public.
  • Willingness to work extended hours if necessary.
