What You’ll Do
- Initiate and conduct investigations into service delivery efficiency for children.
- Research policies and legislation related to children’s well-being and rights.
- Prepare and submit detailed investigative reports, providing insights and recommendations.
- Offer information and advice on children’s rights to various stakeholders.
- Support the functions of the Western Cape Children’s Commissioner and promote awareness of children’s rights.
- Engage with the public and institutions to ensure effective communication about children’s issues.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma) in Social Sciences or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in child rights, youth development, or community support.
- Understanding of legislation related to children’s rights and governance.
- Strong skills in public communication, engagement, and discourse management.
- Competencies in problem-solving, data analysis, and report writing.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including children and community members.
