What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee all aspects of construction and maintenance projects.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate project work plans according to established methodologies.
- Identify resources needed for projects and assign responsibilities accordingly.
- Monitor day-to-day operations and ensure adherence to project standards.
- Prepare and submit project status reports to the Director: Infrastructure Development.
- Maintain accurate project records and manage documentation systems.
- Liaise with service providers and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with community needs.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and methodologies in the built environment.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate/Matric or equivalent qualification.
- A National Higher Diploma in a Built Environment field with at least 18 months’ experience, or a three-year Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, or a BTech degree (NQF 7) with at least 1 year of experience.
- A Code 08 driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
- Compulsory registration as a Candidate Construction Project Manager with SACPCMP upon appointment.
- Knowledge of the Government Immovable Asset Management Act and project management principles.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects in a complex environment.
