What You’ll Do
- Manage and evaluate engineering drawings and designs for waste management license applications.
- Screen, review, and approve design reports and drawings related to waste management.
- Oversee the approval process for construction quality assurance and completion reports of licensed waste facilities.
- Develop and manage a case management system for engineering drawings and designs.
- Provide technical and research support regarding alternative waste materials.
- Create guidelines for engineering designs to meet relevant standards.
- Conduct research on climate change studies related to waste activities.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant qualification recognized by SAQA.
- At least three years of post-qualification experience in hydraulic, environmental, and geotechnical engineering.
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
- Knowledge of Waste Classification, Management Regulations, and National Norms and Standards.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
