What You’ll Do
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of tourism destination development and ecotourism strategies.
- Manage the provincial tourism spatial plan and support infrastructure development, including signage.
- Provide technical support for community-based tourism initiatives and manage route and icon development.
- Coordinate stakeholder relations and implement tourism transformation programs and related events.
- Identify and promote tourism business opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
- Facilitate resource management (financial, human, and physical) in line with relevant directives and legislation.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Tourism, Tourism Management, Development Studies, Ecotourism Management, or related fields.
- Three to five years of experience in the tourism field at an Administrative Officer level.
- Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet).
- Project management and event coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
