What You’ll Do

  • Act as the spokesperson for the NPA Division and the Director of Public Prosecutions.
  • Provide communication advisory services to the DDP, management, and prosecutors.
  • Develop and maintain media relations to enhance coverage of the NPA’s work.
  • Answer media inquiries and respond to stakeholder questions.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases and news reports.
  • Organize and manage key public events and exhibitions.
  • Lead public education campaigns and community outreach initiatives.
  • Manage the production of the DPP’s divisional newsletter.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners for effective stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Need

  • A B-degree (NQF Level 7) or a three-year Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the communication field.
  • Knowledge of public service administration legislation, including the NPA Act and Criminal Procedure Act.
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on accountability and professionalism.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
