What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate the implementation of records management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate records management practices for compliance.
  • Conduct compliance inspections of Registries to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Develop, implement and maintain the departmental filing system.
  • Administer and maintain the departmental file plan effectively.
  • Provide support on records management matters to all satellite offices.
  • Manage human resources and financial resources related to records management.

What You’ll Need

  • National Diploma in Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, or Knowledge Management at NQF level 6.
  • A minimum of five years’ functional experience in Archive and Records Management or Information Services/Management at a supervisory level.
  • Knowledge of policy development and implementation, as well as the National Archives Regulations and the National Archive and Records Services Act of South Africa (NARSASA).
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of government legislation.
  • Familiarity with financial management principles and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client orientation and customer service.
  • Ability to manage relationships, demonstrate accountability, and uphold ethical conduct.
