What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the registration of routes for land-based public transport operations in the region.
- Support the mediation of conflicts and disputes related to public transport.
- Convene and participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss route applications and inspection findings.
- Compile submissions with recommendations for management concerning route registrations.
- Ensure approved routes are captured on the Registration Administration System (RAS).
- Provide feedback to associations and operators regarding their applications.
- Assist associations in developing their constitutions, guided by standard requirements.
- Monitor the democratization process of associations and public transport operations.
- Participate in the development and review of policies and standard operating procedures.
- Track performance progress and manage resources effectively within the team.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Transport Management, Transport Logistics, or Public Administration.
- 3-5 years of experience in the public transport field/environment, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent report writing abilities and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of corporate governance is an added advantage.
