The Buffalo City TVET College is seeking an Assistant Director: Management Accounting to play a vital role in the financial management of the institution. What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement finance policies in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Coordinate and quality assure financial reporting processes for accuracy.
- Prepare Annual Financial Statements that meet GRAP standards.
- Manage auditing processes with both external and internal auditors.
- Oversee operational processes and resources related to management accounting functions.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Need
- Matric or NCV Level 4, plus a recognized M+3 years Degree or National Diploma in Finance Management, Accounting, or Auditing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Management, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of the CET Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and Accrual accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
Matric or NCV Level 4 with a recognized M+3 years Degree or National Diploma in Finance Management, Accounting or Auditing or related qualification; 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management, Budgeting and Financial reporting (in terms of GRAP); in which 3 years must be supervisory experience in Financial Management environment.Knowledge of the CET Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulation and understanding of Accrual system.
Job Duties
Develop, review, implement and monitor Finance policies in line with relevant legislation; Planning, Coordinate, review, analyse and quality assure the financial supporting information for planning purposes.Coordinate, review, analyse and quality assure the management accounting reporting processes.
Preparation of GRAP compliant Annual Financial Statements and dealing with both external and internal auditors.
Manage the operational processes, resources and procedures associated with the management accounting functions.
