What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate the prompt finalisation of misconduct and grievance cases.
  • Monitor adherence to prescripts governing misconduct and grievances.
  • Coordinate the appointment of chairpersons and initiators for disciplinary matters.
  • Provide effective advice on resolving disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Negotiate settlements and implement outcomes of awards and rulings.
  • Conduct training on labour relations policies within business units.
  • Manage relationships with organised labour and assist in collective bargaining processes.
  • Attend to industrial unrest and promote cordial relationships with shop stewards.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Labour Relations, Human Resources Management, Labour Law, LLB, or a related qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in Labour Law or Labour Relations.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Knowledge of Public Service Prescripts and relevant Labour Law legislation.
  • Strong investigation, report writing, and computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
