What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative and personal support to the chairperson of the Electoral Court.
- Arrange and manage meetings, ensuring all necessary communications are addressed promptly.
- Draft and compile complex legal documents, including memoranda, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct legal research to assist in the preparation of hearings and trials.
- Monitor electoral disputes from filing to resolution, ensuring compliance with timelines.
- Quality assure all judgments and legal documents, including proofreading and editing.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and engagements, both locally and internationally.
- Facilitate the collection and management of public records related to the Electoral Court.
What You’ll Need
- An LLB Degree or equivalent legal qualification at NQF level 8.
- A minimum of three years’ relevant experience in legal or judicial support services, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of South African law, electoral rules, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and excellent research skills.
