What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and facilitate conditions of service in accordance with the Employment of Educators Act and Public Service Act.
- Supervise and manage various types of leave, including annual, sick, and special leave.
- Oversee the termination of service processes for staff members.
- Manage allowances in line with national policies and directives.
- Provide expert guidance and advice to line managers and employees regarding HR policies.
- Authorize and approve transactions on PERSAL in accordance with departmental delegations.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Human Resource Management or Public Administration/Public Management, recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years at a supervisory or lower management level within the related field.
- Proof of completion of introductory PERSAL training is mandatory.
- A valid vehicle driver’s license (exempt for individuals with disabilities).
- Strong understanding of the Public Service legislative environment, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
